DFRPG update

I just got the email that the DFRPG has been updated. Anyone know what’s new?

The scans for the cardboard heroes and maps PDFs are much better (higher resolution).

Just to clarify: The "scans" are the same as they've been. (We don't deal in scans unless we have to . . . digital forever!!!) We just tweaked the compression settings of the PDFs we generated to improve the quality in some situations while (hopefully) keeping the file sizes manageable.

Right, what was I thinking? You have the source files for the images...

Thanks for the clarification!

I wonder if we could get the maps in a png or jpg for easy (personal) use for VTTs?

Unfortunately, the files start getting really unwieldy really quickly if we include too many options.

But, since the files aren't copy-protected in any way, you can easily manipulate them yourself with any suitable software. If you happen to be on a Mac, it's really easy to make your own JPGs: Just open the PDF in Preview, go to View -> Thumbnails (it it's not already on that), select the page you want to export in the left-hand sidebar, go to File -> Export... , select Format:JPEG (or PNG), select the quality/resolution you want, navigate to where you want to save the file, and click "Save."

Hmmmm. Ok. Thanks! I figured it was something like that.

I use GIMP (which is free) and it can open pdfs with each page a different image or layer, and save to just about any format you want.
