Please do not bump threads, it is against the forum rules. It is acceptable if you include a suitable addition to the conversation however.

Thank you.

I use GURPS Character Sheet all the time, and I've developed a technique for sorting gear. I create a container called "All Equipment." As the name implies, everything goes in that container. The first item in the "All Equipment" container is another container called "Combat Load." That one holds all the stuff I carry in a fight (including potions in a potion belt and so on). Everything else goes into a backpack. The "All Equipment" container gives me the weight of everything. The "Combat Load" container gives me the weight of my combat gear. Then I toggle the Backpack on or off to adjust my dodge and skills that are affected by encumbrance.

The trick is to use virtual containers. Not all containers have to be backpacks and such.

I've got all the skills done, and all the spells done. I think I'll be working on the traits next unless anyone wants to take that one.

Just made a huge commit and pull request containing the majority of skills, advantages, disadvantages, and professional templates.

The last thing needed is equipment.

Good job Pseudonym. Looks like you got most of the gcs files done. Looks like Barbarian gave you as much problem as it gave me -- I have a Barbarian.gct (based on the DF Barbarian.gct) that's fairly complete but doesn't work.

Thank you very much for doing this. It is extremely helpful.

Do you know of anyway to apply equipment modifiers such as fine, balanced, dwarven, etc, without adjusting the entries by hand?

Not yet, it's a pretty complicated thing when you have bits like Fine meaning one thing for weapons x,y,z and something different for a,b, and c.

Unfortunately, doing the modifiers by hand is currently the best way.

Thanks. It isn't difficult to do by hand, but it is tedious.

I've not followed the GCS threads - since I use/utilize GCA for all of my character building needs. However, seeing some comments about GCS, what is it exactly?

I had presumed an excel spreadsheet. But now, after seeing comments about it reading XML files, I'm not so sure what it is...

So, what is it? :)

gurpscharactersheet.com

"GURPS Character Sheet (GCS) is a stand-alone, interactive, character sheet editor that allows you to build characters for the GURPS 4th Edition roleplaying game system. This site is the home for GCS, which was written by Richard A. Wilkes."
