...Teleport?

So, I'm going through the Spells book, and I noticed something: There's Teleport Shield, Trace Teleport, Divert Teleport, but no actual, you know, TELEPORT spell. The closest to one in the text that I saw was Blink. Now I admit I haven't gone over with a fine-toothed comb, but I did check the spell index and found no entry for it.

Is this an error, or is it just something assumed a dungeon crawling adventuring party wouldn't have access to?

I'm pretty sure the latter. I think it was mentioned in G:DF (or a Pyramid article on DF) that teleport is one of the spells that sort of breaks the whole "go and explore a dungeon" concept and was specifically removed.

It's a conceit of DF - just like how the various Create spells aren't permanent or Invisibility ends when you attack someone.

So what teleports if you only have the DF RPG?

I remember that, now. I hadn't followed or collected most of the G:DF materials when they came out, but I recall an article (or forum post) going into that.

Monsters maybe?
or magically items?

NPCs, and Gate magic as mentioned in the Spells book. Also magic items (created by others). Basically, access is GM-defined.

NPC archmages. Demons and similar beings moving to/from other dimensions. Anything that passes through a tricky portal.

Teleportation is essentially a plot device in the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game, and the spells for diverting, blocking, and tracing it are there to give players a sense of agency in the face of this – a lot like how Remove Curse exists mostly to get rid of demonic possession and tricky cursed altars, or how Final Rest exists mostly to give the players the means to tell the GM, "No, we don't want to play The Return of the Guy We've Already Killed Twice."

The enemy lich-archmages, or the traps in ancient dungeons from the golden times of magic. Just like there is no Zombie spell on the list, it's something you can equip against, but aren't supposed to do as the hero.
