[DF] New DF game, seeking modules to convert

I've convinced one of my gaming groups to give GURPS a try. Half the players have only ever played PF, the other half are longtime gamers with experience in several systems.

Since I work a block away from a game store, I'm looking for PF/DD/anything modules to convert and run under DF. I've previously converted an old ADD module for a previous group.

Any suggestions?

White Plume Mountain is classic but there is already a thread about conversion that might give a lot of inspiration.

White Plume is also one of my favorite Dungeons

I've converted and run "Lost Mines of Phandelver" (from the D&D 5e starter set), and "Burnt Offerings" from the PF "Rise of the Runelords". Conversions were done using the guides posted on the GURPS Repository.

There's also adventures made for GURPS that you won't need to convert (or only tweak for Dungeon Fantasy) - prominent among them is Mirror of the Fire Demon but there's more in Pyramid.

MotFD is specifically for Dungeon Fantasy so that's a good one :)

Grab the hardcover Dungeons of Dread. Two of the adventures therein, White Plume Mountain and Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, are perfect for Dungeon Fantasy. The latter might well be better under GURPS, which can handle the technology therein without extra rules.

Currently running Queen of the Spiders for the second time, first time around was in 3e. I'm using 500 point DF characters, so I souped up the DF1 templates to 400 points and then built 0, 50 and 100 point racial templates.

500 is probably overkill, if I was going to reboot, I'd probably go 350 or 400 points instead. So far the party has made it to the fire giants without anyone dying, when HT 15+ and HP 20+ are standard, PCs can take a lot of damage.

Overall I would rate the carnage level as satisfying.

Most of the online retailers should carry the old TSR era D&D modules in pdf - and these can be fairly easily converted if you have a mind to. Old classics like Keep on the Borderlands and Horror on the Hill should keep you going for a while.

Most of the older stuff can be found on the DM's Guild

Some of it even in print.

Of new material most of the recent D&D 5e adventures (Tyranny of Dragon, Princes of the Apocalypse) would lend themselves well to GURPS Conversion. While it is a mixed bag there are several things I noticed.
  • The single book format means while there are specific most is written as bits and pieces for the referee to put together to form the campaign. Sub in DF stats and probably could run the adventure 'as is'
  • They are in single book form and readily available so you can browse before you buy to see if its something you like.

Pyramid 98 is a great starting point too
