Updating GURPS on tvtropes, anyone?
 

My coding skills are rather lacking (at least with the system tvtropes uses) but I'd really like to contribute to the page, especially since no one seems to have touched it since 2011.

Though if there are better ways of connecting the public with GURPS, I'd like to hear!

I think a lot of the gamer-geeks left TV Tropes after The Second Google Incident - the equivalent page on All The Tropes was last updated in 2015. (Conflict-of-interest disclosure: I'm an admin at All The Tropes.)

If that is the case - and I have no statistics saying that it is or isn't - we might want to advertise GURPS on sites that gamers actually frequent instead of on TV Tropes.

The concise version is that Google, who manages TV Tropes' advertising, took exception to the content of some of the pages on the site. This resulted in a purge of potentially objectionable content, since TV Tropes relies on ad revenue to stay operating.

What's missing from the article (any version, on any of the tropes sites) that should be added?

I have no knowledge of All the Tropes, and have never gone there that I recall. I look at TVTropes all the time.

However, I've tried more than once to get recognized at TVTropes as a commenter. They claim they've e-mailed me the necessary logon information, but it's never arrived in my e-mail. So I've given up.
