Seaweed Card Interpretation - Munchkin Booty

Does the Seaweed card have to be played with a Wandering Monster card in order for the +5 effect to take place OR can the Seaweed card be played w/o a Wandering Monster card because the beginning text reads "As a Wandering Monster".

You must still play the Wandering Monster card along with it.
