Will not persue?

If a monster says it will not persue, can the player still attack? If no, can you loot the room or look for trouble normally, or does your turn end as if you just ran away?

From the Munchkin FAQ:

A. You certainly can fight the monster. If you do not win the combat and have to Run Away, you escape automatically (no roll required).

You cannot Run Away from this monster and then try to fight another one or Loot The Room.
