Fighting multiple monsters mechanics
Hi everyone i just got munchkin adventure time and bites (this one got stolen with my backpack yesterday) anyways i checked on the internet to find the answer but still i cannot understand how some fighting mechanics work.
for example i'm level 1 with +6 bonuses and i find a level 3 monster (so far so good) but then another player plays a wandering monster level 10. now i think i understood that i have to be level 14 to be able to fight, even if i could easily kill the first one, and maybe escape from the other (not sure about this whole sentence) and after that how does the fight goes on? do i resolve the first monster and then the second one, or since my level is higher than theirs put together do i automatically kill both of them? (this looks like the same thing to me but it's better to ask) thanks for your time!! |
Re: Fighting multiple monsters mechanics
You must be able to defeat the combined combat strength of all monsters, or you must Run Away from all the monsters. There's no mechanism for defeating some and running from others.

Re: Fighting multiple monsters mechanics
ok perfect! so in the case 2 players put into the field 2 monsters (bats in bites for example) and the total level of the 3 of them is, let's say 30 i am most likely forced to run away because i can't fight them one at a time if my level and bonuses is lower than 30.
i'm sorry if i'm not clear but i find this thing a little bit confusing. |
Re: Fighting multiple monsters mechanics
Yes, if you can't beat the combined combat strength of the Monster side, then you must Run Away from all the Monsters. Running Away is handled separately for each Monster, so you roll the die for each Monster you're facing, taking the Bad Stuff immediately for every failure. If you die, you're done running, though. The Monsters are apparently nice enough to not desecrate your corpse.

Re: Fighting multiple monsters mechanics
thanks a lot. basically more monsters count as a very big monster except for running away and bad stuff. now everything's clear
Thanks again :) |
