[RPM] Cleric of Gaia Suggestions for Rituals
 

So what kind of Rituals would Gaia like? I'm having a difficult time thinking of good rituals except on an ad hoc puzzle solving basis.

Of particular interest is what kind of ranged attacks might Gaia like? Recently said Cleric of Gaia ran into a flying dragon, which was very much not in melee range.

The mythical Gaia was a primordial goddess, mother of gods and monsters alike; her children included Ouranos the sky god, the three Cyclopes, the three Hundred-Handed Giants, and the first generation of Titans. It's said in many ways that she was the Earth.

I could easily see a cleric of Gaia conjuring a new (possibly permanent) monster to help fight the dragon, or possibly redirecting the earth and molten lava to create a geyser or lava spray.

What Paths do you have access to?

Gaia is a greek 'mother' titan.

As much as she is represnted as a force for 'good', don't forget that she produced nothing but flawed, often monsterous children (the first wave of greek gods included).

Further she was partner to the monstrous Kronos, and dealt with the other titans.

Magic from her should focus on this, being very elemental, but related to lush, unkept, growth.

Gaia is a 'giving' goddess, she almost always added to the world, rather than taking away, but what she added was not guaranteed to be 'good' or even healthy.

Create body for attack spells, creating spiralling lush green and deadly plant-life.

Healing is easy enough and very in scope.

Creatures through create body and create spirit.

She would be a good candidate for having an altered set for what is a greater spell as per ghostdancers article on personal greater and lesser effects- A worshiper of Gaia may get lesser effects on all create spells, but greater effects on anything that simply alters or 'subtracts' from the world.

Seems a worshipper of Gaia should focus on body, with a follow up in spirit, rather then just be a stock <xx> in everything, doubly so if their focus is on creating things.

Clarification - is this Gaia, the "genius mundi" of Lovelock or the titaness of Greek myth? ... it probably matters.
