The best & worst of the art in GURPS: Powers

After taking a look a GURPS: Powers, I figured it was time to start off the usual art critique, since I don't remember seeing a thread about it.

What do you think is the best & worst of the art in GURPS: Powers?

I thought the "best" piece was the kid levitating the car off his dad on p.160.

The worst and my personal "Hate it" piece is the bad poser? art on p.152, where the "professor" in the red blazer looks like he was cut and pasted out of a motorcycle frame, one hand reving the bike, while the "poet" is asleep on his feet.

Overall the art seemed pretty mediocre, though the cover was fine.
Some pieces, like the half drawn one on p.236 look too amateurish, and there were too many examples of bad computer generated (poser?) art like the one on p.179.

I agree that the best is the kid levitating the car off of his father.

I think the worst would have to be the posse on p. 24. The fire breathing Jesus is bad enough, but the others are rendered poorly and painted sloppily. I actually cringed at it.

On p.26?
Yeah, that one is pretty bad.

The worst part is they then cut and paste the weird blue chick from the posse onto p.240, not to mention pasting the "gentleman" onto p.224, ready for his bike.

My personal favourite is the "duelling power sources" on p4. For some reason, it makes me think of Emily *g*

No comment on the worst, other than.. SHAME for hating on KFFBJ :p :)

Just started a thread in GenChat - I think the Kung Fu Fire Breathing Jesus needs a theme song. Preferably with a country-western feel to it.

My only complaint are those pics where guys are wearing uniforms. If they are going to bother to do that - could we at least have some cheezy flavor text or captrions to go with it?? I'm referring to pages 201, the title page, 22, 109, and such.

I just hope people don't start wearing bracelets with "WWKFFBJD?".

Why would you need to? You know what he'll do. He'll breathe fire and then kick some ass.

Me, I like KFFBJ.

for some reason, the rocket backpack guy on page 148 really grabs me and I quite dislike the 'oh noes! i have fallen into jurassic park 2' fantasy guy on page 166. In general i thought the art, while sparse, did a good job of capturing the tone of the book.
