Okay so I was playing with friends and someone cursed me with the "curse! Oz-tracized" the effect is
Your choice: lose two levels or die.

I was level 2 so they said I couldnt choose to lose 2 levels so I had to die. But I said I could still chose to lose two levels and go to level one and not die.

Was I right? Or wrong?

If you were at Level 1, you would have no choice -- you can't choose Bad Stuff that doesn't affect you if there's other Bad Stuff that does. However, you can lose one level at Level 2, going back to L1.
