Need help with trait

Elfvision - an elf notices when someone is looking at them. On the other hand, other people notice when an elf is looking at them. This doesn't give directions, it's strictly binary, but it does make ambushes somewhat difficult. For simplicity's sake, I assume this means a focused stare - not just seeing someone out of the corner of the eyes.

Sensing if someone is looking at you sounds like..

Detect Observers (Reflexive, +40%)

And people always being aware of it when you look at them sounds like a Nuisance Effect limitation added onto your Normal Vision.

I like it! You'd add Vague (-50%) as it's binary. Hmm... Occasional? Common?

And how do I even add a limitation to normal vision?

ETA: Looking at Danger Sense, this is somewhat less useful since it also detects people just staring at you. 10 points?

Assuming you limit it to "Sapients with visual senses", Common.

Well, Blindness is 50 points, so Blindness [-50] and Not Blind with Nuisance Effect, -5% [48] is a net [-2].

It has a definite use: you know if there are witnesses to your actions. For any kind of stealthy operation, this is valuable.

Which lands it at about 16 points. I'll make it 15 because of pentaphilia.

What a creepy cool ability. Out of curiosity, is this for a faerie/hidden-folk type elf or the Tolkienesque kind?

Mostly Tolkienesque. It's for a Swedish RPG called Eon. As you may all have guessed by now one of my problem is that I start up a million projects and finish none.

I suffer from this problem as well, Anders. But I like this concept. Perhaps to give the -1 you tossed in their value those who know you well can tell your elf sight from another elf's... This would even mean enemies who know you well enough know it is you thus it is a quirk.

Is Reflexive RAW-legal to add to Detect?

Of course...

Detect is the example provided for "senses" in the original description in Powers p.109
