Car Wars 3X Scale Tournament

Greetings fellow duellers.

After too long of a hiatus, I am excited to announce that I will be hosting 3X scale Car Wars tournament matches on Saturday, April 25th at Tanishiocon II at
West Chester University in West Chester, PA.

On the off chance one of you lives in the area, stop on by and say hello.

I'll be running up to three matches over the course of the day, and plan on taking lots of pictures to post here.

It's great to be back in the driver's seat again.

Drive offensively!

Curt Lindmark

Good Luck!!!

I will be doing the same thing on Sunday May 17th at Game Master Games in Hicksville, NY and extend an invitation to any fellow Long Islanders who want to join in on the mayhem!

Back?

Did we ever go away?

Granted, our website is offline, and we don't run monthly meet ups anymore.
Other than that, we're alive and well. 8)

Hi there - I live in Philly and have not played Car Wars in years. Planning on coming out to West Chester to dip my toe back in.

What is the schedule for your matches? Do I need to bring anything with me? I am assuming rules, appropriate dice, etc...

I was also working on a 3x scale up a while ago so I have some hot wheels cars and turning keys as well.

Joe, thanks for coming out and enjoying your dueling day.

We had a great turn out for Car Wars, and I'll make sure to run at the next Tanishiicon that happens (presumably the same time next year).

I'm still crossing my fingers for late June at the Philly Expo.

Drive offensively,

Curt

Kudos on the General Lee and the Mach 5!

In one of the pics, it looks like the General Lee has something sketched or drawn behind it? A dropped weapon or depicting something else?

You just made me realize how cool it'd look if you're playing on butcher-paper or similar to sketch in skid marks for extreme maneuvers, Control Table failures or heavy braking... reviewing the battle afterward with that kind of visual! hmmm

The General Lee had suffered a strong enough ram impact to take the front armor, the back armor and everything in between.
What's on the arena floor is the chunky salsa remains of the driver.

Gruesome, eh?

The group I gamed with used to do that with the arena maps. The marks would still be on the sheets during future battles, giving it a somewhat driven-over look.

One of NOVA's members went further -- he wouldn't bother to "clean up" debris or obstacles after an event. He had to stop this practice after he was the victim of a head-on ram by a ramcar in a car he'd forgotten had a CA-frame -- the debris field covered 1/3 of the map....
