Goblin Rule and ... With Gobs of Goblins: Official Ruling Request

Hey everyone,

My friends and I are in a heated discussion and have been for a while about the ruling of the ... With Gobs of Goblins card.

Here's the question laid out as simply as I can:

Player 1 is in combat with a "Goblin" type creature: Blog Goblin.
Player 2 has in his hand the cards "... With Globs of Goblins" and a non-goblin card, "Copper Chef"

Question: Can Player 2 play "... With Globs of Goblins" with "Copper Chef" from his hand by using the "Goblin Rule?"

If it's unclear in any way just let me know and I'll clarify. We'd love and appreciate an official answer!

Thank you so much for your help in advance.

clarification needed- rule of goblins and the '... with gobs of goblins + 10' card

We have every expansion, we lover them all. We are playing pathfinder expansion right now, and are having and argument (2 hrs and counting) concerning the rule of goblin and a modifying card. The situation is- a player1 played a goblin card and player2 played
'... with gobs of goblins + 10' with a nongoblin card-both from his hand. Player1 says the nongoblin monster had to already have been in play(on the field) and player 2 read from the rules that you could play the '... with gobs of goblins + 10' card WITH a nongoblin monster to use the rule of goblin ( they both agree the rule of goblin means if there is a goblin on the field, you can send a goblin out from your hand without using a wandering monster card). so player1 disagrees and says because the rules didn't say '... with gobs of goblins + 10' can be used WITH a nongoblin monster FROM YOUR HAND to use the rule of goblin. So player2 is saying WITH suffices for the connected play because the rule says it can affect the nongoblin card to use the rule of goblin (play goblin from hand) because the rules/card didn't say play '... with gobs of goblins + 10' card ON A NONGOBLIN CARD ON THE FIELD. We are stuck arguing these subtleties whether the rule/card was including/not including the second parts about the field vs. The hand. I'm impartial, just want the last two hours to mean something.

Thanks for your help.
Best,

I recommend that the next time your group has a problem like this, you elect one person to ask the question so we don't have two threads asking the same exact question less than 30 minutes apart.

And, the answer is "No, you can't do that." To play a Monster Enhancer on a Monster, the Monster needs to be in the combat first. To add a non-Goblin Monster to a combat where there's a Goblin in combat, one still needs to use a Wandering Monster card.

I'm going to overrule that. The Undead rule explicitly allows playing an Undeadifying enhancer along with a monster, and the Goblin rule is intended to work the same way. Designer's intent counts. :-)

Okay, the rules do say that, so it doesn't matter, as it's documented. I don't remember that being initially written that way.
