Yet another taming the monster question

I can't believe this hasn't been asked and answered already, but if it has, I certainly can't find it.

When a ranger tames a monster, what happens to the monster's treasure?
A) The Ranger gets it; after all, (s)he gets the monster as a steed, or
B) It is lost/stays in the Treasure pile.

(A) makes more sense logically, but not for gaming. If so, the player gets to get rid of X number of fairly worthless cards and get back the same amount of cards as Treasure, which are likely much more valuable. The Ranger, in my mind at least, is doubly rewarded for this ability.

Re: Yet another taming the monster question

According to the card, you didn't fight the Monster, so you didn't kill the Monster, so you don't get the Treasure. If we want to treat that as a defeat (a non-lethal one) anyway, the rules say, "If you defeat a monster by nonlethal means, you do not get a level and you may or may not get the Treasure, depending on the method." This means the method has to state whether you get Treasure or not, and the Ranger card doesn't tell you that you get the Monster's Treasure when you tame it.

Thanks for the confirmation. Some in my family/group feel otherwise, saying that if the monster is now theirs its treasure comes with it. (The level was never in doubt.)
