[Ritual Path Magic] Energy Collecting
While I read it, it striked me that basically the most impeding thing to cast things in combat is that you have to gather energy for every spell for 5 seconds. Anybody tried to play it with collecting the energy per turn: Concentrate, roll aganist Path and collect energy equal to MoS? It's interesting that effect it would have on gameplay.

There are a couple of options that let you do that published.

It's a -4 to skill to skip the 4 extra Concentrates. There is also a leveled Perk to allow you to mitigate that penalty.

Ritual Mastery is suggested as an optional leveled. See Pyramid: The Laws of Magic p 17
Also see Speed Casting same book, page 18 EDIT: Even without that issue you can do this if you can absorb the penalties. So your losing some of the energy you would have gathered if you took your time but for smaller Rituals that might be just fine. |

Here we go. It's a combination of a leveled Perk, a Rules Exemption Perk, and some levels of Natural Caster.

Another idea: Modular Ability limited to only working with Speed-Casting and enhanced with Reflexive or at least Reduced Time.
