Starting question

I been playing for about a year and the way I was shown to start off is after you get your hand dealt you have to wait till it's your turn to start putting your cards on the table.the other night someone told me that when they play everyone puts there cards down soon as the card are dealt out.which is it? Thax

Re: Starting question

You may play cards before the first player starts his turn -- this is explicit in the rules. You may also choose to wait until the start of your own turn.

You can play a Class or Race as soon as you get it, or at any time on your turn.

The rules say this, under Character Creation (which is before anything about how to play the game, when you can play certain cards, etc.):

Quote:

Look at your initial eight cards. If you have any Race or Class cards, you may (if you like) play one of each type by placing it in front of you. If you have any usable Items (p. 5), you may play them by placing them in front of you.

No need to apologize, I'm just trying to make sure that it's clear where that comes from, not just from Andrew or I making things up. :-)
