Muenster We Are ... and Monster Minion

Playing Munchkin Bites, Nick has the Monster Minion played. It states

Quote:

May also be sent to join a combat in which are you not participating. Counts +3 for either side, and is then discarded.

Amanda plays Muenster We Are, Yet Muenster We Become against Nick. It states (in part)

Quote:

You may not ... play cards that affect [other players'] combats, until...

.

Can the Monster Minion card be discarded for its bonus in Amanda's next combat? Muenster restricts Nick from playing cards to affect Amanda's combat, but Monster Minion was already played.

The intent is that you can't use any cards, so Monster Minion cannot be ditched to give either side a bonus.
