Does doppelganger also copy one shot items played before it?
 

The title basically is the whole question, but I'll post an example for extra clarity. Say my combat power is +10 between my level and my equipment, and I play magic missile to give myself an additional +5, bringing my total to +15. If I were to then play doppelganger would it copy the effect of the magic missile as well and bring my total combat strength up to +30, or would it only copy my level and equipment and bring me to +25?

Here's how Doppelganger works.

1) Total up your combat strength.
2) Multiply by 2.
3) If your combat strength changes, return to step 1.

Don't overthink it.

It's an EXACT duplicate. If you change, it does too.

Additionally, you can not get help from another player after you doppelganger, correct?

I believe the answer to this one was that you could, but the Doppleganger would be discarded, so it no longer has an effect.

Are you sure? because doppelganger says that you can only play it when you're in combat alone, so you wouldn't be able to play it and double your power, then use kneepads to recruit a buddy? You still played it while you were by yourself, which was the stipulation of the card. Likewise, this will answer if you can do this with the gnomes illusion ability as well or not.

Clipper is correct, and the same conditions would apply to the Gnome's illusion as well. A search through the forums should find both Andrew and I saying this at different times. It's even possible Clipper has a link to a ruling on "speed dial."
