"I think I'm good," Peter says, confidently dismissing the soldier's cautions.

"How long has this been here? Have there been abductions?"

Peter looks at the tracks to see if he can determine if there has been a volume of travelers or if he's just seeing the one set of hoof-prints going round trip.

"This operation is classified. Get out before you get killed. Direct all inquiries to the office of the Massachusetts national guard."

Its quite a few in both directions. At least ten travelers each way.

Peter doesn't see these guys letting him through the portal, so he darts off away from them and tries to approach at a different angle, hoping he can get through before they can stop him...

They're not willing to shoot him or run him down, but say something on the radio as he's running off.

Roll stealth to get back through.

Stealth Roll: 3d6 <= 10
1 + 4 + 3 = 8 ... success

Peter looks for a road and sees if he has any idea where he is while following the hoofprints.

Peter creeps up next to the gate, and then bursts through. The soldiers see him on for the last two seconds, but don't react effectively, and he goes through. he curves off to the side to break visual contact.

He's in terrain much like he was when he first came. He's not sure which direction a road is in, but he sees two houses, and the tracks going off mostly towards one of the houses... either of those three marks should take him to a road. He thinks the sky might look similar to the place he first showed up in, but he's not sure.

He follows the most heavily traveled path in search of people or a road...

Wondering as he walks if this is the world he was on the other day or is it just one like it? If they were close enough, did it even matter?

Was he even home when he was "home"? or someplace else that another Peter dreamed his way away from? Is some other Peter in his real bed now?

The tracks lead right to a road, and give him a good idea of what direction the people came from. He hasn't walked more than a mile, Goliath panting beside him, when he sees soldiers that look like locals coming towards him.

Peter approaches them and asks what city he is in, and tries to identify himself as an agent of Tuvo Kyridas.

The soldiers seem to have the garb of Thuroma. They are somewhat surprised when he speaks in their language... or close to it anyways.

"Tuvo Kyridas? Who is he? A priest of Ink-Thur? Do you know if any Preists are named Tuvo Kyridas?"

His buddy says "Maybe. Sounds familiar. I don't have all of the priest's memorized, but that name rings a bell. I say we keep a close eye on him. And on that dog."
