Can a Ranger have more than one Monster Steed?

If other cards like Centaur might allow it, can a 'Ranger' have more than one tamed monsters in Steed form at a time?

May one discard a Monster steed tamed by Ranger arbitrarily, certainly since you can't carry it or sell it?

How can one choose to disable this Steed, for room for another one, if one would choose?

(I have in fact already gone through the official public Munchkin FAQ, and find that the wording and includes

don't always quite cover certain subtleties).

Has anyone noticed this, my final in my series of questions?

:)

The Ranger must discard his tamed Steed if he wishes to tame a different one. Even if he is a Centaur. This may not be immediately obvious from the card, but it has been clarified in the forums.

You cannot just get rid of a Tamed Steed arbitrarily.

May a player with Ranger choose to discard a tamed steed to replace it with a printed Steed from Hand?

Does the tamed Steed count the same as a printed Steed, such that a second printed steed may not even be carried on table, unless cheat or Centaur are active?

What happens in this circumstance, per my question at all?

No. You can't do this with normal Steeds either.

Yes. It's a Steed for all purposes, with a few extra rules as specified by the Ranger card.

May a tamed steed just be replaced (lost) by another tamed steed, in the absence of cheat, if the tamed steed cannot be carried? Do you loose the tamed steed if you loose the Ranger class? How may one replace a tamed steed with any steed, in the absence of cheat?

The Ranger's Monster Tamer text has you discard your current Steed as part of the ability to tame a new one.

No, you do not lose the tamed Steed in this case. This one is in the FAQ:

A. Sure.

You would need to find a way to discard the tamed one, such as using a Class ability that allows you to discard a card.
