Question about a booster card

Hey friends,

Another newbie question for you. I got the "Munchkin Gets Promoted" booster pack and I have a question about the card "Billiard Ball of Nonexistence" which lets you immediately cause death. BUT this card isn't a curse, so I assume it's for you to use on yourself? But why would you want to do that? Or am I missing something?

Sometimes, death is better than the alternative.

And sometimes you have The Last Laugh and want that level.
