Re: [IC] The Fall
right, because You aren't a massive tiger who can break these kind of things.

Re: [IC] The Fall
"Right, because I stated I don't want to risk injuring myself with no guarantee of success. For all I know that glass is as strong as metal and I could beat my paws bloody against them without making so much as a scratch. I'm pretty sure the foodfac wouldn't of given us much food, which we have no means of transporting, and it too was made of metal so once again I didn't want to risk hurting myself for possibly no reason."

Re: [IC] The Fall
so we go into the city?
|
Re: [IC] The Fall
"Yes. We go to the city. Odds of injury and death are non-zero, but odds of death if we just stay here approach unity over time."

Re: [IC] The Fall
Kilrathi will head through the passage and keep going until there is something interesting to interact with. He assumes that the other two will follow.

Re: [IC] The Fall
Rechit follows, mentally grumbling.

Re: [IC] The Fall
Wilda follows behind the other two

Re: [IC] The Fall
You head through the passage and as you get closer to the tube's opening you can hear sounds and even voices from ahead of you.
"-long while now. When do you think the tech will get back online? I'm starting to get kind of hungry." "I've been with you the whole day! How am I supposed to know!?" As you get closer you can make out the voices, both of which sound distinctly female. You finally exit the vactrain tube and find yourselves in a vactrain station, very similar to the ones you left a few hours ago. However, with all the power gone it looks really dreary. The station is a large open space with massive windows on all four sides, and lined with a few cafés. The tube you just left is one of three connected to this station, each "track" lying next to each other and separated by raised platforms. The "tracks", where you are now, are located at one end of the station while at the opposite end of the station there are eight elevators as well as two stairs, each going down towards opposite sides of the building. The light provided by the windows casts large shadows in the station, giving it a very gloomy atmosphere. Just a few feet away from you, at one of the cafés, are the source of the two voices you just heard: a griffin and a Felicia, both of whom seem surprised to see you. "W-where did you come from?" Asks the Felicia, whose short fur looks like that of a jaguar except black with white spots, sports black shoulder-length hair with a single lavender stripe, and wears punk-ish clothing. From her looks, the Felicia appears to be a young adult. "And more importantly, do you have any food?" Asks the griffin, who is about the same size a Kilrathi. Her head and neck is covered in white feathers while her arms, chest, shoulders, and wings are covered with dark brown feathers, and her lion-like rear is covered in fur of a slightly lighter shade of brown. |
Re: [IC] The Fall
"We walked from where our train stopped. The closest thing we have to food is Rechit here and I rather think he'd object strongly. So why are you gals just hanging out here instead of out and about? There used to be more people here right? You've seen the fires and stuff outside? Panicked mobs of people in the streets. A great big blast off towards the horizon and subsequent shutting down off all our tech. Death crys from androids and cyborgs. And here you gals are sitting around waiting for the tech to come back on. I don't know what else to say but that sitting around here probably isn't the best plan in the world. Wish I knew the best plan is but I know it isn't that."
OCC I took some liberties and assumed that we chatted as we walked down the tunnel and learned each others names and such. Hope that is okay. |
Re: [IC] The Fall
"Oh. So it's not just Stockett that's affected..." The griffin responds with a look of worry in her eyes.
"Don't worry, I'm sure that blast, whatever it was, only affected the local area. The AIs are probably working on solving it as we speak." The Felicia reassures her griffin friend before returning her attention to Kilrathi. "And for your information, we're not 'sitting around'. We came here looking for anything to eat or drink, or anything else that might be of use." "Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find anything yet. Looks like someone cleaned out this place before we even got here." The griffin adds, still friendly despite her worried expression. |
