Question about theif.

1st question. Can a thief steal multiple times on his round, or just once? And question 2, can a thief backstab the same person more than once during the game(Note: not round).

Re: Question about theif.

A Thief can attempt to steal as many times as they want, so long as they can discard to pay for the ability. (And just to be clear, even if they are successful, they can still do it again. The only things that stop them, aside from just choosing to stop, are running out of cards to discard to power the ability, or running out of legal targets.)

And they can backstab mulitple times during the game, but can only backstab each participant in a combat once in that combat.

So they can backstab the same participant again in a later combat, right?

Yup. And another combat after that, etc.
