King tut vs. instant wall or comrade

King tut monster card says that higher leveled munchkins lose 2 levels even if they escape. Is an instant wall is used for automatic escape would the munchkin still lose 2 levels? What if a comrade is sacrificed to king tut in lieu of having to roll to run away, would the munchkin lose 2 levels then?

King Tut steals two levels no matter HOW the munchkin escapes.

Unless he escapes by being a low enough Level that King Tut won't pursue him. I know you know this, Andrew, but your statement could be confusing otherwise.
