first game
Had our first game last night, 4 of us...was running close as 3 players were on lvl9 and the other lvl7... finally one of the leading players drew a monster card and against all our efforts beat it and levelled to 10!...at this point one of the other players realised they had a curse card, lose 2 levels and played it on the level 10 player... now after much discussion...read arguments and loud voices we played on with that player now level 8. is this correct or had the other player won as soon as they reached level 10 or only after a reasonable time allowing us to play other cards..ie curse them, before they can claim victory?

Re: first game
The reasonable amount of time to prevent the player from winning the combat was during the combat. Once he's won, he gets the rewards, and if the rewards included two or more levels, that got him to Level 10, then he won the game.
To be extra clear: The "reasonable amount of time" rule only applies to a player winning combat. As I said above, once a player has won a combat, you can't deny him his rewards. Also, once a player is Level 10, he's won the game. There's no waiting another reasonable amount of time to play some card to take levels away. |
