GURPS Game Aids: Files
This is the right place to post descriptions of and links to game aids in the form of non-executable files for download. This includes maps rendered as images, PDF character sheets, and even spreadsheets (however fancy).
Warning: Links to illegal content – such as pirated GURPS books – will trigger immediate deletion, a permanent ban without appeal, and possibly worse. |

The main Downloads page is here, but the most popular are:
Fillable PDF Forms These sheets all contain form fields that can be used to enter data, save, and print the completed PDF.
Rules Summaries/"Cheat Sheets" These sheets are ideal for custom GM screens, or to present a lot of information at a glance.
Spreadsheets There are only two, both created with Excel 2007.

The links below will send you to the original post in the forum as I post updates to my cheat sheets in those threads.
Combat Maneuvers Cheat Sheet On the CMCS you will find most of the maneuvers GURPS offers in combat, compiled from various GURPS publications. Injury & Recovery Cheat Sheet The IRCS offers a quick overview over the basic injury and recovery options GURPS offers. Kit Cards The Kit Cards can be used to manage your weapons, armor, shields, generic equipment, vehicles, spells and Mass Combat elements. Together with the Equipment Sheet these cards are intended to give a character all the basic combat information needed. |

Here are some things I found when looking for information on statting out a child in GURPS.
This is a set of templates for children, based only on age, which I put together from posts starting here. It is in my own shorthand (mostly typical for the forum). If anything is unclear send me a PM and I will either edit the file or inform you directly. This is something official which is specifically focused on height and weight for boys 2-20 years old. |

Plug-and-Play spreadsheet for an alternative damage progression for Strength and Super Strength based on gilbertocarlos' system.
It provides a quick way to convert an existing weapon statline to a damage multiplier and a much steeper damage progression for beings with SuperST that should be expected in genre to deal crazy amounts of damage. The multiplier system is most useful for creatures with high ST and oversized weapons, allowing them to continue getting meaningful value out of their weapons. Damage bonuses from sources other than weapons (such as claws, Weapon Master, combat skills, etc.) have also been converted to multipliers. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5l7...it?usp=sharing |

This should be a link to my public dropbox where I'll be putting .png graphics of blank hex layouts for virtual gaming tokens and any actual tokens I've managed to make. AFAIK the artwork is freeware from the ether but if you spot something that isn't please let me know so I can remove it.
I've focused on top-down tokens but anyone can use the hex to make their own tokens and I'm sure you can make a tidier hex than me - Bruno has good one & two-hex templates already (here's a Link to the thread post with links). |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I asked a while back if anyone had a list showing the reverse defaults for the skills in the Basic Set.
http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread...=140789&page=2 dripton created a Python script list giving me what I needed. .. . Since then, I took it upon myself to create my own list of every skill with a "From" and "To" default underneath them. I also placed all the skills into categories, and then subcategories. Each skill within the subcategories are sorted by the primary attribute used. Then, each of those skills are sorted alphabetically. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzZ...ew?usp=sharing Figured I'd share. You'll still have to look up the individual skill (I listed page numbers for each skill). It would take way too much time to rewrite and summarize descriptions and rules, and I don't think it would even be okay to share it at that point since I would be basically rewriting and posting a chunk of the book. I don't think there are any errors, and the way I organized the skills probably won't be to the liking of every person who looks through it. You can reorder things/copy-paste/etc. to your whim. |

GURPS Spaceships Design Sheet - simple.
A simple PDF form. No calculations. Just a nice layout to share your designs with other GMs/Players. Happy to take suggestions or fix anything that is not working as expected. :-D |
Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I decided that my PDF was ill-suited to the task... :D
So instead I offer you the Spaceships Spreadsheet (simple). (<-- Google Sheets) Designed to be easy, fun, less-intimidating and fast. It mostly just calculates prices (and habitat cabin #'s, and workspaces required...). Everything else is manual (RETRO!). Let me know your thoughts. (you will need to copy a version to you're own Google Drive to use it. Be careful not to delete formulas!!) UPDATED: with workspaces, crew manifest, and optional rules section (the initial optional rule, the Anitmatter Factory by the amazing munin on the forum!). |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
Just realized I had some stuff I should post links to here:
GURPS-friendly 3d printable floors. Hex-based cardboard miniature stands. |
Text-only GURPS character sheet
I've figured that a decent number of people (mainly, those doing play-by-post games) playing or GMing GURPS won't have the capability to use the actual PDF files for character sheets. And I haven't found many properly text-based character sheets that suit my needs, and just none that rely on only text.
So here's my attempt at a completely text-based character sheet with just the basics (however, no listing of weapons or possessions). Although it does work best with a monospace typeface, it looks decent enough in a proportional one. Code:

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I've played GURPS for years, and recently started GMing it (thanks to Matt Colville). I looked through the various "One Page" GURPS handouts and never could find exactly what I wanted.
So I created Combat Cheatsheet V4. EDIT: Updated the link to point to Version 4 of the cheatsheet. Removed the home rules and made it as RAW as possible. I put many of our most frequently used rules onto it, and it has come in very handy. It is color coded and two sided. I printed out a few copies and laminated them to hand out to the players. |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I made a set of Libre Office Documents to use as templates for printing out my own "Cardboard Heroes" and wanted to share them with the community. You can find them on my google drive and feel free to share the link elsewhere:
I use the GURPS Cardboard Heroes myself, but often found that they did not include (enough of) the figures I wanted or needed - and given how many people make pains to select or create a character picture, I also wanted to use those instead of assigning each a Cardboard Hero that at least somewhat came close. They pretty much work like the original cardboard heroes, save for the fact that they do not have lines to fold them together at the bottom, these here are intended to be glued together at the bases. I have made a variety of sizes and the different "tables" can be freely combined to make a sheet with figures of different sizes. There is a little instruction in German and English and a paint.net file to more easily insert numbers or such for humanoid sized figures, but otherwise, it is pretty self explanatory. I hope some of you may find them useful, there is also a sample sheet included with artwork from David Revoy, who has published a number of illustrations under the creative commons license. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Deevad If you have any feedback, feel free to contact me, or reply to the original thread I posted them under linked in my signature. I hope you may find them useful! |
Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
For anyone looking to use a transparency overlay to replace existing hit location tables, here is one:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/to5k9tuwz6...erlay.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/qrjcpckx88...ample.png?dl=0 Hit locations are shown as a dashed number N-M. The first number before the dash is the margin of success. The second number after the dash determines the precise hit location, using a D3, D6 or D12 as required. Succeeding by 9 or more hits the precise location being targeted, succeeding by 7 or 8 hits one of the next three closest locations, succeeding by 5 or 6 hits one of the next six closest locations, and so on. To use, place transparency overlay on top of an appropriately scaled image or drawing. The image in the example is from Friday Night Firefight, copyright R. Talsorian Games. |
Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I have revised the "one-page GURPS" game aid / cheat sheet posted farther up this thread by Eric B. Smith.
The GURPSICLE (GURPS In a Concise Limited Edition cheat sheet) https://reqcon.game.blog/2019/06/21/...d-cheat-sheet/ Basically: added color, graphic design, probability of success. I renamed it mostly to amuse my players. At that link there is a change log and a more complete discussion. I hope it helps someone! |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I made a free fan-produced game aid -- it is a one-page flowchart explaining how to get through the Move phase of basic space combat as described in GURPS Spaceships 4e. This developed from a thread I started on this topic last year in the main forum. Thanks especially to Fred Brackin and mlangsdorf.
How to Choose Your Maneuver in Basic Space CombatI mainly made this for myself but I think it might help you if you are trying to learn the basic space combat rules. I would always lose track of what I was allowed to do. I'm not sure how widely useful this is -- I don't know how many people try to do basic space combat with the GURPS Spaceships 4e rules -- but I'm posting it here out of a sense of completeness! I've also included the Microsoft Word file you can edit. I hope it helps you. |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I made a set of Token Markers for Roll20 that are intended to better handle GURPS needs.
The markers include generic +1 to +9, two sets of -1 to -9, markers for the four basic attributes to be used in conjunction with them, Shock penalties (-1 to -4), Postures and some basic conditions like grappled, binding, sleep, stun, mental stun, etc. https://www.reddit.com/r/gurps/comme...token_markers/ (feel free to make suggestions there) https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...r8?usp=sharing (direct link) I also want to draw your attention to my template for making your own Cardboard heroes: https://www.reddit.com/r/gurps/comme...own_cardboard/ Hope both may be useful for you guys! |
Adjusting Base Damage
I finally made a Google Sheet that calculates Base Damage for weapon modifications.
The first tab is the "Calculations" tab, it's pretty simple. Just enter the base damage, any Adds, and the multiplier (say 1.5 for ETC weapons). It handles all 3 results (less than 1, between 1 and 12, greater than 12). The "Ready List" tab is for finished weapons. If you want access, just use Google. It will email me and I will grant you access. When copying damage from the column on Calculations, be sure to CTRL + SHIFT + V when you paste (as to only paste the value, not formats or formulas). I will remove the simple image I had in there previously. :-) |

Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
Hello, I have been trying to get new players into GURPS with one-shots lately and I found it useful to revise Mook's very simplified GURPS character sheet. The biggest motivation was: I got tired of trying to describe to new people where to look for things on the big sheet and used a bunch of icons.
GURPS-O-SCOPIC -- a very simplified character sheet for new playersI put a slight revision of the one-page GURPS game aid the GURPSICLE on the back (I added the icons), so they would also have a rules reference handy. The link above leads to a post that explains the motivations in more detail, but basically I want a one-page thing with a pregen character on it that I can hand a new player. They can then play GURPS with it RIGHT NOW without knowing anything else. I have playtested this sheet twice and I'm happy so far! I'm posting it here in case it helps you. It's in Microsoft Word format so you can edit it. |
Re: GURPS Game Aids: Files
I have created two spreadsheets, each in three formats, that show the roll needed when basing a skill on its non-controlling attribute (for example, a DX-based Traps roll, when Traps is normally an IQ-based skill).
I have created room for 75 skills, which I know is excessive; trim that to your heart's desire. For the following, enter the skill and its (absolute) level (e.g., Running 15):
For reasons I do not understand, the preview for the Google Sheets version is garbled; I hope everyone can open/download it. The "relative level" version links will follow in the next post. Comments are welcome. |
