deck mixing

i have had the original Munchkin (2010 printing) and recently bought Munchkin Apocalypse. I want to mix them, but when i did the decks were huge. i read the cheat with both hands rules, but i still don't understand how to mix decks/ rules for mixing decks.

can someone please help me out here! (pun intended)

Re: deck mixing

Blended decks will be quite large. You don't have to put the whole of each deck onto the table, though. Shuffle up the cards, then put out deck sizes you are comfortable with, leaving the rest of the cards in the box. Keep the other cards available just in case you manage to run out your initial decks.

Also, note that the Apocalypse rules list a special option rule for blended games to allow Seals to open a little more frequently if you like, having each player roll a die at the start of their turn and open a Seal if they roll a 1.

Also if you are blending with original Munchkin and you have multiple expansions (which is VERY large by itself), I would recommend using only a portion of that deck to blend with other sets, otherwise the other sets will be quite watered down.

I generally cheat a little with "mixing decks." Simply because I don't want to have to un-mix them later.

I separate every deck type and use a dice to roll. There are two ways of doing this.

A. You have up to 6+ decks and use the corresponding number on the dice for that door. If you only have 5 or less decks any number on the dice not covered is a reroll. I accept the turns of loaded dice and reloaded dice however. ;)

2. You make two sections of how ever many piles you want (I'll do three decks on one side and three on the other) Each side gets odd or even. When you roll your allowed to pick your door from the respective side.
