Yikes! That clears it up.

Yep. But the 'spare change' from those two things will provide for all sorts of equipment, so that's pretty cool.

Don't feel bad. All I knew about Thoth was that he was like the head Egyptian god or something. The rest of it I looked up because THoH would have looked it up to figure out how to respond. He's pretty cool, though! Thanks for prompting that research.

Okay, that makes me feel better :P

Michael, d'you have any setting information for us? We've been assuming that everything is present day, same timeline (with the exceptions of heroes and villains that have presumably been around for awhile), etc. Anything we should be aware of?

Eric, Pox's Code of Honor should probably -15 points, since it is more comprehensive than Pacifism (Self-Defense) [-15].

Trick is that the code of honor is mostly informal. There's lots of things that he ALMOST has, but with wiggle room. He doesn't have self-defense only, because there's a major loophole: he can kill his designated target. He doesn't have honest, because he obeys the laws of death rather than man. He doesn't have truthful, because when he chooses to deceive (which will almost always be through omission) he gets no penalty.

I understand, but it seems to me that the additional limitations more than compensate an exception for a single target. Hardly matters, though.

Thinking about it, Feebleman would make a great member of that quasi-cult Phoenix has started. She doesn't really have minions, more of just people who trade blood and energy for magic though. MH magic can toss out some really powerful blessings with sufficient magic.

I like it. Lets say Feebs joined the Phoenix cult seeking out a magical remedy to his cancer and through Phoenix's tutelage acquired the whoositswhatsit that gave him his wish.

FeebleMan can come on in to Phoenix's magic library after having wished for secret or weird skills and then share that info.

Any thoughts on body ads/disads?

If you're going with the partial amnesia idea, I think I'll make The Universals the group of heroes you're at odds with. If you go with that, you should also add it to your character sheet along with deciding how many points you want to reserve for disadvantages unknown to you (-10 to -30 points).

As for the body, if having your brain at the bottom of the ocean is a feature that never disadvantages you, then it's well, a 0-point feature. If there's a risk of the connection being disrupted, I'm not sure what that would be worth. Pay points for the most expensive body. If you can always replace bodies and restore your system from backup unless your enemies are very thorough about destroying backups, that's Unkillable with a limitation. A lone backup sitting at the bottom of the ocean is Extra Life 1 (maybe with digital, requires body, or something like that).

Turned out I was 90 odd points in the hold. He should now be 1000 points. I cut his skills significantly and added a couple of low level talents since he had scads of computer and petty thief skills.

Are those custom talents? Which skills do they add to? In any case, looks like we're down to minor details, so I'm OK having you post in the IC thread now. If you want to assume Feebs is at Phoenix's mansion when it hits the fan, that could get him into the action quickly.

Death's powers should be finished. I added elastic skin and temporary disadvantage (lifebane) to insubstantial. Now he can hide as a human.

I also increased the number of points in the modular ability. I'm debating adding language talent as well.

His disadvantages are up.

I'm not sure what to do about his wealth. On the one hand, he doesn't really have any, but on the other, its trivial for him to steal. Also not sure If I should give him a rank in the death organization. Its mostly flavor. Countermanding collections is above his paygrade (though the patron should be able to do that after much wheedling).

He should have 50 points left over to stick in Attributes and Talents, and maybe something to improve skills with.

Okay, I await you figuring out how to spend those last 50 points.

Those basic assumptions are right. It's worth mentioning that the world's premier super-team is The Universals, who I'll be tying in to a couple players' story lines (see reply to momothefiddler above). I like the idea for Phoenix's backstory, and based on it I've decided to make Corvidae (The Raven Family) another important group of heroes. Other questions?

Will you allow Markus to branch out in to other psionic powers? It's quite possible that I'll be interested in picking up a little bit of ESP.

A general overview of the most famous Supers/Villains would be helpful, just so we know what to expect.

I am so tempted to add dead broke and use those points for an innate attack or module ability for attacks, I can not decide on gear! Help?

Re: [OOC] Villains

Yes - totally custom talents. I noted the affected skills with a could letters. Cf for computer friend. Let me know if you want me to ditch them.

I would love to be there at stately Phoenix manor. Perhaps he is in guest bedroom 4 on the east wing, probably zonked out on painkillers.

Dead broke mercenary? Sounds like a divine curse: can't get rich. :)
