[Item] Boomdagger

If I sell the Boomdagger, it will go back to me at the beginning of my next turn. So, the Boomdagger will be in the discard pile before returning to me? If true, then, if another player (e.g., a Cleric) take that Boomdagger before my next turn, will the Boomdagger return to me in my turn?

Thanks.

Re: [Item] Boomdagger

Interesting question. The card doesn't say it has to remain in the discards until your next turn, so I'd rule that it does come back to the original owner on his next turn, regardless of what happened to it in the meantime.

However, the Cleric also lost the Item through a method that would allow the Boomdagger to come back, so I would actually have it switch between both players whenever one starts a turn. That is, until one of them dies, loses it to Bad Stuff, or trades it away of course.

Don't take that as definitive, though. It's just how I would interpret the text in the absence of any official ruling, as I can't find one.

Isn't the Boomdagger a Thief only item? I was going to respond until I thought of another Thief getting possession of it while it wasn't in the possession of the original owner. After giving it some thought I'd think that it has bonded with its original owner and that is the only person that it will return to.

I don't have the card in front of me, but i thought it was lost permanently if traded or sold

Me neither...there needs to be a card database with all the pertinent text on here.

No, there doesn't. If you want something like that, make it yourself and keep it to yourself (i.e., don't distribute it).

Traded, looted or given away. It returns if stolen, lost to a Curse, or sold. If you die and it doesn't get looted, or if Bad Stuff takes it, then it stays in the discards.

You could also do what I did in the office, and get a second set of all the Munchkin games and sleeve the cards in the Ultra-Pro nine-up pages. Really handy when I want to look at the actual card and not just refer to the text. (Or when I'm too lazy to boot up the production database.)

I do have to wonder if I'm the only person in the world to have done this...

It was definitely worth the effort, though. I also envy Andrew's book of cards as then I could even reference the art when it was important (such as gender of Hirelings and which monsters have tentacles).

I guess I'm going to have to as well.

This is just me wondering but why wouldn't SJGames want a researchable database of cards for the community if they were the ones to host it? I'm not arguing for it to exist and I'm not intending to insult or annoy. I'm just really curious.
