Demon prince of Fanaticism: What happens to Malakim of Faith?
If Khalid Falls, what happens to his Malakim?
If their Faith in islam started to wither, do you think their new archangels would probaly give them a free pass, on letting them replace any islam specific oaths giving the circumstances. |
Re: Demon prince of Fanaticism: What happens to Malakim of Faith?
I imagine they'd be something like the leftover angels of Purity:*either leaving to join an archangel with at least somewhat compatible beliefs (e.g., Zadkiel also favors Islam) or doing their own thing, upholding their master's old Word without Heaven's approval (much as they have been doing for years anyway).

I suspect archangels will annul Oaths if they're significantly interfering with the Virtue's function, and for nothing else, and not feeling enthusiastic about Islam isn't a sufficiently significant interference. Even the Sword or Judgment will unhesitatingly recognize angels' right to reject Christianity - or to have their forces reassigned - before Virtues' right to forswear their oaths.

Re: Demon prince of Fanaticism: What happens to Malakim of Faith?
Although Khalid is already written up, it could be very neat to have the Demon Prince of Fanaticism be so intensely persuasive to those with a certain kind of wavering faith that Habbalite Khalid might actually be able to attract some of his former Malakim into serving Hell, under the belief that their fallen Archangel -- who still, after all, claims to be an Archangel, in a sense -- is still serving God, and they still have a duty to him.
("You are MINE! Are you weak, or are you loyal?!?") He could provide Rites, Servitor Attunements, and false Hearts, as well as regular dissonance and Discord removals, or simply drown any oath Dissonance under his infernal power. They wouldn't quite be Fallen -- they'd still be angels, they could still survive the light of Heaven, they could still (theoretically) get and keep Malakite Choir Attunements, but they'd be as crazy as Balseraphed Habbalah. And they could be very effective -- a Malakite with a false Heart and the assumption of easy Vessel access is a terror you have to kill repeatedly, especially when he's more than willing to go on suicide missions. |

Sounds kind of interesting, cept, not even a ONE of his Kyro's joined him in the pit, not ONE according to the final trumpet. |
