INWO - Poll
How many of you would like to see a third series in the trading cards that is non-collectible?
This is a simple yes or no poll. Yes - 3 No - 1 |

Re: INWO - Poll
Yeah, I'd have to agree with Buzzardo.
The CCG concept is just a money grab. Especially when labelled "Unlimited Edition". HA! It's sort of interesting, if everyone does it just for fun and not psycho about it and spends tons to get all the cards. Which cards do I got? Which cards do you got? Ok. Let's play. Want to trade one or two. Ok. But I definitely do prefer the INWO game to the Illuminati. There's just so much more to INWO that makes it complex and interesting. Besides the regular alignments, there are the attributes which are sorta like 2ndary alignments. I just wish the NWO cards of INWO functioned more like the NWO cards from the Illuminati Mutual Assured Distraction expansion. In fact, I had been working on a concept, since stuck in my INWO notebook, of a 3rd, shared deck. But not necessarily NWO cards. They could be. One card that would be in this deck would be the card Eris. Pic: a telescope pic of the dwarf planet Eris, of course. Flavor text: "Plutonian Politics. Traditional Conservatives and New Age Astrologers are aghast at the demotion of Pluto." Place at the middle of the table near the NWOs. From now on, everyone draws plots from the player on the left. Everyone draws group cards from the player on the right. In a 2 player game you choose, plots or groups. The only thing that can cancel Eris is by a special discard play of the plot card Strange Bedfellows and ignoring its printed rules. (I do not own Strange Bedfellows) If there were new versions of INWO, but published like they did the Subgenius stand-alone-game/expansion, that would be great. In INWO, every card has a special ability. That makes it great. My vote 1 |
Re: INWO - Poll
I personally prefer the classic interactive gameplay of Deluxe edition myself, but I think INWO had some good elements that were fun, especially as a closed set with a shared deck like Sub Genius did.
If a third verson was released, I'd actually argue to make it incompatible with the original runs by using regular thickness cards instead of the extra thick stock, so my answer would actually be both yes and no. Yes, I'd love to see the mechanics re-tuned and show up again, but like the others above definitely not in a collectible blind buy format, but no if it would be a third edition that would have to compatible with the previous versions. |
