Re: [DF] Udead ....a book that I would like to have.
I'd be happy to see either of those released. I'd actually like a DFM that includes creatures by category (undead, faerie, spirit) as I am a little unclear still on their differences as intended. I know, it is GURPS and it can be whatever I want. I'd still like some examples, as the distinction is sometimes made, but not well elucidated (to my knowledge) (in the DF series at least).

Arise chicken, arise...
I was looking through various products to see what manner of undead are already available for Dungeon Fantasy. Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 1 Draug Draug Lord (in a sidebar which mentions how to make a Draug tougher) Horrid Skull (has a sidebar which gives guidelines for making a Lich Skull) Lich Skull (see above) Lich Undead Slime Ghostly* Undead* *Ghostly and Undead are modifiers which can be used to make undead versions of other creatures. Ghostly -as you might guess- makes ghostly versions of the creatures; Undead makes zombie versions of the baselines creatures. Dungeon Fantasy 2: Dungeons Flaming Skull Horde Zombie Mirror of The Fire Demon Dehydrated Horde Zombie Skeleton Skeleton, Large Did I miss any? |

Re: [DF] Udead ....a book that I would like to have.
Would there be interest in a DF Monsters book which collected all of those together in one place, but then also introduced new creatures?
I'm trying to gauge how desirable (or undesirable) it would be to have some of the material be old material, but collected into one place. |
Re: [DF] Udead ....a book that I would like to have.
If there was at least 50% new material I don't think I'd mind a collection. Especially if there were new ways to use old stuff mixed in with the old.
I'm more interested in a collection of equipment tables though. It can be rough going for a group of PCs who want to shop for new gear to scramble through so many books. |

Overall though I'm not sure what else there is to add here though, unlike when you diversify your monster selection where you might need rules to cover the subtle changes you're making - loot is much more straight forwards and DF8 covers a lot of ground already. Short of making a second book like DF6 (which is great for ideas and "epics" but poor for pricing them), that is. As for undead, I'd much rather more generic spread of monsters like DFM1 before we get into the grounds of collections and purist supplements. I'm hoping to get at least a dozen 'generic' monster books before we start with the themed ones, as although its nice to have a book on just one narrow band - when it comes down to it I'd rather have more variety so I can include that variety in my game. Otherwise you end up feeling the need (or having few other choices when short on time but wanting to use new monsters) to run 'The Misty and Dark Halls of the Skeleton Kings Vampiric Scholar' dungeon adventure right after you ran 'The Long Forgotten Back Fields of the Skeleton Kings Zombie Gardener!' because all you've got is ready made undead monsters. |

Are any more monster books in the offing?
