Serpent Ring (Conan)
 

Serpent Ring help you to automatically defeat any monster that is Sent By Thoth-Amon. Is it automatically kill a monster (and you gain a Level), or it's just defeat?
By analogy with a Gas Mask and Mailbox, I think it kills the monster. But I just want an official confirmation.

Eben, your answer is official? Is there some rule that says that an automatic defeat always gives a level?

damn! I was sure that there is an official answer that Gas Mask do kill Agent Orange, but I can't find it.

In general, an automatic defeat grants that munchkin the level, unless the card says otherwise.

An MIB's statement is not official. It should be considered advice or an opinion. Sometimes we are wrong.

I don't know about Gas Mask.

Sorry, Eben, but I've seen too many MIBs give too much bad information to endorse this as a policy. MIB answers are not official unless confirmed, same as any other poster.
