Question About the friendly card

I was playing with a friend and I had a level 2 monster, I was going to attack but people played +10 bonus on top of the monster at least 3 times so the attack power was at 32 so a guy that wasn't in battle used the friendly card and used to to cancel the battle and takes its treasure. can he do that or does that card play on me and i get the treasure?
