You're confusing me with the talk of "ally". Are you talking about the sub-topic of abusability I thought we had shelved, the cybershells (which I still haven't looked over), a placeholder for the N/A concept, or something else?

The immunities are the idea (that I have assumed for the N/A concept) that not having an attribute makes you immune to effects that target that attribute.

In the case of a cybershell "spare body" "ally" with Minimal Software.

What effects are those exactly? Clearly not Possession (Digital). What exactly are you buying with those 200 points for that cybershell?

Can we make sure that when 'target' is used, 'resisted by' is not implied.

A Mind Chill targets IQ (Affliction: reduced IQ), but might be resisted by HT.
A Mind Drain might target IQ and be resisted by Will.

Good point. Many drugs could lower IQ or Will and be resisted by HT for another example.

This just got me thinking- how does adrenaline work in terms of drug resistance? While with some drugs there wouldn't be much interaction- people who consume low amounts of alcohol or marijuana can be "scared sober." That effect can completely kill the "buzz" one feels or it can merely stifle it.

But when you look at that in game terms, to me that^ almost seems like failing a fright check provides a bonus to resistance/recovery of soft drugs.

Given that the drunkest drunk in GURPS is at a mere -2 to all actions*, it might be that 'emergency bio-measures' are already accounted for.

* == If conscious at all.

I still haven't read the appropriate material from TS to make the cybershell references understandable (I promise I'll get to it, though), but the effects I mean are ones like an Affliction (of whatever type) with Based on IQ, when the target has IQ N/A.

I have been using "target" to mean "resisted by", since that is what the attacker is contesting with. What you call the target, I just call part of the effect.
