GURPS WWII: Red Tide just went on sale over at e23. This is a full-length (128-page) GURPS Third Edition book on the Soviet Union for the GURPS WWII line, written by series creator Gene Seabolt. Its contents include:

• Historical notes on the rise of the Soviets, the Great Patriotic War, the Winter War against the Finns, and life under Stalin.
• Guidelines on creating and playing Soviet characters – both front-line fighters and those who operate behind enemy lines.
• Information on the organization and doctrine of Soviet units.
• More Soviet equipment to supplement that in GURPS WWII, from personal gear and small arms to artillery, tanks, planes, and even warships.
• Discussion of the geography and climate of the Soviet Union . . . and its dangers.
• A "who's who" of Soviet personalities: Stalin, Molotov, Beria, Trotsky, and Zhukov, plus brief biographies of several prominent generals.

Read Kromm's Mind is still an open contest -- that was an attempt to guess the latest project Pee Kitty had submitted to the Doc. This was a Gene Seabolt book.

I've already skimmed through it. It really contains what Dr. Kromm has listed above. This far, the history section is accurate and detailed, yet incisively written, a pleasure to read. The Character Templates (OK, I've read them first) are great.
