Default [OOC] In Nomine -- The Redemption of Eli

Hello players! This is an OOC thread for administrative foo-fa and such.

For Full Discolsure, these are the PCs in the game:
  • Rhoda, Ofanite of Flowers -- Rocket Man
  • Somasti, Mercurian of Flowers -- ladyarcana55
  • Nechama, Mercurian of Protection -- Andygal
  • Jedidah-Bezek, Mercurian of Lightning in service to Networks -- DAlillama
  • Heb Rhoneniel, Seraph of Animals -- Acolyte

Here is the IC thread for the game : http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=61630

If any of you are familiar with the "Revelations Cycle", the servitors of Creation described in there do exist, although probably most of you haven't met them. You're also all aware of the existence of Joyherunai, the Seneschal of a Creation tether at a jazz club in New Orleans (see http://www.sonic.net/~rknop/php/Omar/in/no.php )

Finally, keep an eye on the game's website. I'll be updating it as information changes. I have a brief blurb about all of the game's PCs right now, and will be updating the Overview shortly after the game gets started. The game's website is at:

http://www.sonic.net/~rknop/php/Omar/in/redeli/

I'll make the first IC posts sometime on Monday the 24th.

Starting a new game is always so exciting. This should certainly be interesting, y'all.

*grin*

And a question for the GM--you said the events of the Revelations cycle haven't happened yet. Does that mean that Khalid is still brooding in the desert, rewarding his followers for slaying otherwise innocent infidels? Or did he never go that far to begin with?

Khalid is probably out brooding in the desert, yes. What's really relevant is that he's more or less separated himself from Heavenly politics, and as such nobody hears from him or his servitors much.

I'll second that. And now, my own nosy question for the GM: Is Litheroy considered to be part of this universe? I know minor Superiors are considered optional, but it just occurred to me that if the Archangel of Revelation is part of this world, Judgment's agents may not be the only searchers we stumble across ...

Good Point.

And man. If your PCs haven't figured out Heb's a Seraph, you need to retune your Perceptions. *grin*

Everyone's a bit formal, on account of the three Superiors present, but that complaint about the human name is a bit of a giveaway.

Yes, Litheroy exists in my IN Universe. And, yeah, he'd love to know what Eli is up to. (Just because he wants everybody to know everything that is currently unknown.)

Heb Rhoneniel will probably get tetchy if referred to in short form when humans aren't around to make it necessary. However annoying he might be to your angels, I don't want to be annoying to you. I figure maybe we could pick a shorthand that means "I am saying Heb Rhoneniel's full name here" so y'all don't have to keep typing it over and over. HR? H.R.? HR? Something like that. That way both "Heb" and/or "O'Neill" will still be valid for around humans.

Also, I'm about to get on a plane and move. I should be back in contact in 48 hours or so, but it might not be until late Monday or early Tuesday when I can post again. If so, feel free to go on without me and I shall retcon/catchup in whatever method is most expedient!

Sounds fair, but Rudy may still call him "Heb" on occasion without thinking -- she'd never deliberately offend or annoy anyone, but she's a pretty casual person. (Be glad she hasn't said "Ronny"!)

Guys, have fun talking amongst yourselves. I'm off today to GM a session with my live IN campaign. Two characters, one a Judgement Seraph, another a Sword Kyrio. Right now, I'm trying to keep the two Universes "the same", but if that gets too hard, I'll drop it. They were in San Francisco the second week of June, and had interaction with Euodias (whom some of you may recognize from Liber Servitorum.) That won't be relevant to you guys, as it will happen after you talk to her. If you're curious about this other campaign, you can read about it (including huge long summaries) here:

http://www.sonic.net/~rknop/php/Omar/in/oinc/index.php

They're heading from San Francisco to Portland today; I plan on getting them sucked into No Dinero from "Heaven & Hell" (moved to Portland). I am probably going to try to run the Revelations Cycle adventures with these two; we'll see how (and if) that goes.

Another note : occasionally, I may send you a private message about a "passive resonance". This will be something minor-- and never in a "contested" situation-- that you pick up as a result of your resonance. I'll do this either for color, to tip you off for information, or to throw you red herrings (the GM is after all a Demon Prince, eh?). F'rinstance, I might tell one of the Mercurians that they notice something in the relationship between people you're watching, even if you guys haven't actively resonated. Just letting you know, so that you aren't surprised when you see this.
