Looking for a copy of the rules for a 1987 set of Illuminati

I recently received a pristine copy of the 1987 version of Illuminati, but it's missing the rules. It has the blank 'Bavarian Illuminati' business cards and even a copy of the Spring 1987 SJ Game catalog.

I'm giving this set to a buddy of mine as a gift and for completeness-sake I'd like to include a copy of the original rules. Google hasn't been my friend, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

The rules themselves are the same in the deluxe as the pocket box with the exception of the additional 'fluff' material on the illuminati cabals themselfs and the optional rules.

For a *.pdf of those rules they are under the illuminati section of the SJG web page:

They added 2 or 3 rules in the Y2K and BFD Expansions.

I'm not sure if there is really any point to chasing after the original rules aside from completing the box set idea.

Yeah, I downloaded that pdf hoping it came close to the 87 version but I wasn't surprised when it didn't. What I really wanted was some brilliant/insane gamer/cultist to read this post and said "YES! I *knew* scanning all my old SJ games would pay off someday!".

Ah, well.

I'll print out the pdf, put it in the box and call it a day. My buddy will just have to deal. :)

I suppose it is possible to dig out my set (from about 1984) and make a copy to send you. It would not be as pretty as my original. I'm still looking for a pristien Assasin set to add to my bags. Yeah, the bags, still got them, also.
