Default Startup error

Hi,

I recently downloded and installed GCA, and was receiving the "Run-time error '430': Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface" error. I am running Windows XP Pro SP3

Based on past forum threads, I did the following:
-Uninstalled
-Deleted the Steve Jackson Games folder from Documents and Settings/[user]/Application Data
-Booted into diagnostic mode via msconfig to circumvent any antivirus or other protections
-Ran the GCA installer (but didn't run GCA itself)
-Ran the latest patch installer twice in a row (still without running GCA)
-Ran the data patch installer
-Tried to run GCA while in diagnostic mode, got the same error
-Booted back into normal mode, tried to run GCA and got the same error

I'm hoping I missed something...any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

sb

The only thing I see you didn't mention was making sure you're logged in as an Administrator while doing this.

Ah, right, thanks. While doing all of this I was logged in using an account with administrative privileges, which amounts to the same thing, right?
