Default New Perks

1) larger than life. When you want to be seen in a certain way you are. Typically for superhero types this is when you wear the costume. You look bigger, tougher more intimidating etc. A tape measure or other measuring devices won't be fooled but people you meet when in costume will easily believe you stand a couple inches taller and weigh 20 pounds more.

(Supermodels with this perk will leave people considering other physical measurements.)

2) Insigniicance. The opposite effect and you can take both for the same character. When you choose to be so, you are percieved as being less physically imposing than you are.

Superman/Clark Kent is a good example of both perks in use by the same character.

I like those!

I have a player on my PBP game take "Cape does not impede his movement." I thought that was fair and genre appropriate.

On a non-supers related note, I had a character who I figured had been, and would likely return to, prison... He was an alien and I decided he had working jaw/teeh in his buttox to discourage certain prison-related assaults.

That's Cloak from Supers, IIRC.

Displaced

It was made for a Super who was teleported into himself as the origin of his powers. It is applicable for characters with Obscure as well.

The character gets a +1 to dodge against one attack in a turn of combat and the character must specify which attacker and the attack expected to come from that attacker. A successful feint (not a successful contested feint) negates the bonus (the attack came from a different direction and targeted an undisplaced part of the body) but the normal feint contest must be rolled for any of it's normal attack benefits.

(This is a limiting factor to keep the perk from being too effective for it's 1 point cost.)
