I have some questions/double-checks re CW-rules.
1. There really can't be both a Sponson and an EWP in one given Location on a std car, right?? 2. Chemical mines (pg 35 U Al Cat F Hell) -- what costs/loads are they referring to? 3. Can you see if a car use an electric/gas PP from a walkaround? 4. Where IS that description of what you can see from a walkaround, btw?? :-) 5. Can a Gas PP really use BOTH a Supercharger and a [VP] Turbo? 6. Corner mounted weapons counts spaces on BOTH Locations it is mounted in? And they can't be in a CA? 7. I remember that Minedroppers can't have a round magazine but can't find a reference -- I just mixed MDs with Spike Droppers? |

In classic Q&A fashion:
1. You can only have one "weapon mount" per location. (Turret, Rocket Platform, EWP, Sponson, Pintle Mount, etc.) 2. The shot cost and weight comes from the equivalent Dropped Gas weapon. For example, CPS for Chemical Smoke mines would be $25 (base) + 2x$10 (SS shot cost) = $45. 3. Yes. 4. ADQ 6/3. 5. Yes. It could also have a Carburetor or MB Carburetor, among other things. 6. Yes, they count towards both sides for the one-third spaces rule. Yes. 7. AFAIK, MDs can use magazines, rotary magazines, and dual-weapon magazines. (I don't have a reference to the contrary here, but I didn't do an exhaustive search.) Hope this helps.

Sigh, MDs are a pain with radio x normal x proximity -- and then chemical, fake etc. (I must have mixed up English translations or my car knowledge -- I thought superchargers were a variant of turbos? Never mind.) Have you thought about that with your spreadsheet work, you might be the person on the planet that knows the CW design rules best now? :-) If anyone want a preview of my "game aid", send an email/private message and I'll send something out in a week or two. It has a html based data structure editor, not a user interface. |
