Hmm; still no sign of Discworld (or Mars Attacks) in the latest ("3rd January") New Releases list there. Damnit. (I was hoping it'd be on the trade stand at Stabcon next week.) It appears that trans-Atlantic shipping must be seasonably snarled up.

(Which really must make Warehouse 23 look ever more tempting, even for those who still have a FLGS.)

Even in the states it is :)
I sent you an email the other day by the way.

...and I deal with e-mail questions when I can get around to composing an appropriate answer.

Just making sure you knew to look for it in case it wound up in a spam filter.

Yes, though Warehouse 23 shipping rates slightly more than double the cost. A copy of Discworld RPG delivered to the UK would cost $81.15 or 65.76 at today's exchange rate, and I hope the eventual retail price will be lower than that!

Yeah, true enough. It's still another fragment of reinforcement for the sense that the traditional retail distribution system just doesn't work that well for RPGs anymore, though.

My local shop has my Discworld pre-order in, although they didn't receive all of the copies they ordered from Esvedium Games. Collecting tomorrow.

I've been chatting to Leisure Games in London, and they've just gone straight from "Coming Tuesday" to "Sold Out". It appears that the book ended up on limited supply (and the shop only found out on Friday), so I guess that pre-orders ate more or less all the copies they did . They've ordered more copies from a different distributor, but those may take a couple of weeks to arrive.

So if you want a copy and see one somewhere, don't dither. (I note that Amazon US now show it, though Amazon UK don't yet.)

I don't see it.

BTW second demo session went well. Look forward to having a copy to show the players what I'm talk about.

I'm seeing it here. (Though don't ask me why it's showing as a paperback.)
