Munchkin AT: Gunter and Demonic Wishing Eye
"Gunter." Demonic Wishing Eye "anywhere" in play he gets +20. Does that not include in hand? can they not play it after he enters combat? or can they but gunter just doesnt get the +20?

Re: Munchkin AT: Gunter and Demonic Wishing Eye
The Gunter card says that Demonic Wishing Eye must be in play when Gunter enters combat. "In play" means on the table, as no cards in a player's hand is in play, as defined in the rules. And that means that the card can be carried by any player, not only the player who's fighting Gunter.
Remember, you can carry (i.e., have in play) any Item, even one-shot Items like Demonic Wishing Eye. |

Re: Munchkin AT: Gunter and Demonic Wishing Eye
Sorry in advance if I shouldn't reply to an old thread.
Is having the Demonic Wishing Eye in someone's (anyone's) inventory the ONLY way for him to get the bonus. It can't be equipped and cards in hand and discard aren't in play. I can't think of another way. Even if the card is played during combat with him, the effect would happen and it would be discarded (assuming it can even be played in combat). I mainly ask because of the capitalization of ANYWHERE. Is it to emphasize that it doesn't have to be a specific player's, someone who played it or wants it to have the +20, and can even be the person who kicked open the door to Gunter and doesn't want him to have the +20? |

Generally, we prefer new question, new thread, unless you're following up to a response. I consider this a follow-up question, so you didn't do anything wrong.
It doesn't matter which player has Demonic Wishing Eye, but it must be in play before Gunter enters the combat. |
