Default GenCon 2014

I'm not at GenCon. But if you are, this would be the place to tell us all about the sights, the sounds, the smells, the games, the events, the parties, the tournaments, the celebrities, the costumes, the crowds, and the games.

"You said games twice."
"I like games."
"Splendid!"

I haven't seen a lot of posting on forums about GenCon 2014 aside from Zach's usual postings on therpgsite.com. There's some action on G+ and a fair bit on twitter, though.

For the first time at GenCon, I ran a GURPS game that was very well received. There were just a few other GURPS games, but all of them sold out early on.

I would *love* to see some GURPS gear poof into existence, because I'd love to buy Tshirts, dice, buttons/pins, whatever to promote the game, especially at GenCon. I selfishly would like to inspire others to run the system so that I could play it more often. :)

This year's GenCon felt a little different. It was bigger than ever, the city really went out of its way to make gamers feel welcome (even more than they've done before).

There is just something about hanging out with 56,000 friends.
