Default Champagne Log export

I'm trying to export a large champagne log into a file. The closest I've found is using Phoenix to .xps which is a dead end.

I believe you mean "campaign" not "champagne"; the former is a series of actions undertaken, generally in pursuit of some goal, while the latter is a sparkling white wine.

Print sheets aren't what you want, and, AFAIK, there's no existing export filter that will do what you want. So, at the moment, your best bet is probably to export to XML (File > Export… > Export XML file) and then to extract the <Campaign> element from that. Also, the notes for the log entries will be in RTF format, unless you've previously told GCA to store them as plain-text.

What, exactly, are you looking for/need to have output?

Also, is this a one off kind of thing, or might you need to be doing this often? I ask, because I could add an optional campaign log block to the Bookish export filter, if that would be helpful.

Pass the champagne.

I have two long running games where continuity and details have bearing, and a third in which the GM gives me a bonus depending on game notes.

Yes, among our group we'd like to be able to do this often.

I consider the log one of the best (if not the most under used) parts of the CA.

This would be kind of cool, if I understand what is being discussed. I mean, if you want to extract a little bit at a time, the old copy-paste seems serviceable, but getting some sort of Bookish-style output of a long campaign's log might be easier.

OK. I've added an optional Campaign Log block to Bookish. Hopefully, that will be useful to you. The current format was a quickie, so feel free to complain about it. :)

I wind up using a blog at the site listed in my sig for keeping those campaign notes. Since each player is responsible for maintaining their character, the campaign log in GCA wouldn't be that useful for me anyway.

Thanks for putting that feature in though.
