Default Rules question: Some Random Person & Increased Income

Greetings,

First of all; Chez Geek is great.

Secondly, I have a rules question about the card " Some Random Person". I think it's from "Block Party"
How exactly is is supposed to be played?
It sais to got a jobcard from the job pile and put it in play as a person in your room, with 1 slack. Does the green card also stay in play? (it seems so because it also sais to discard it if the person is ever removed). The green card also indicates it is worth 1 slack, so do you effectively get 2 people in your room, each with one slack, or do you ignore the original green card totally, for example by placing the jobcard on top of it?

Thirdly, in the FAQ it states that you get your income at the start of your turn. Is that after you draw cards? It would seem so, because first you draw, and after that you roll for things like variable income.
If so that would indicate that you can play "whenever" cards before getting your income that turn, in which case "your next income" will be that turns income, and you can play those cards immediately after you draw them. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance,
M.C.Lizard

I play the job card on top of the Some Random Person card with the SRP card offset so you still see its name from underneath the job card. It counts as 1 person for 1 slack only. The only things this card really does beyond that is take a job card out of the mix so if someone loses or changes jobs, they can't get that one.

There are two things to look at. 1) Your turn starts when you draw cards, 2) you get income after the roll phase. So, you could argue that it says "next turn" and therefore once you draw cards, you can't play cards that affect your next turn and expect them to affect this one. You could look at income cards as affecting your next income and since your next income comes after the roll phase, you could play cards you just drew that affect income before the roll phase. Now, this means nothing officially for Chez Geek, but in Munchkin, the official stance is that anything played which affects your next combat and is played during combat affects the combat you are currently in. So, when I'm playing Chez Geek, I allow people to play income enhancing cards after they draw them, and if I like them, even after the roll phase. . . ;-)

I think the confusion with the second point is that you were using a Person card instead of a Job card. Job cards don't have slack listed on them except as Slack Goals.

Oops, My bad, I see what he's saying now. Person card has to stay, because it's the person. Job card just tells you who the person is.

Thanks Munchkinman.

That clarifies it nicely.
