Very true. It stuck with me, otherwise my poor memory wouldn't have kept it.
It's just got "bizarre cover up" written all over it from a supernatural fiction perspective.

Yaay, 2000!

*blows party whistle*

I started a catalog which might help with these repeats. I should get off my duff and finish it.

Museum of Medical Quackery:

Formerly a standalone museum, now part of the Science Museum of Minnesota. A large number of exhibits are currently on display there.

Need some pseudo-science for your game? Here's your go-to place.

The alternate Earth threads have had some sub-discussion of Vertical Farming. It an interesting subject.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_farming

As side-reading, the 19 March Minneapolis StarTribune had the following article.
http://www.startribune.com/minnesota...arm/507300072/

A local foodshelf is getting into hyrdoponic gardening to supplement fresh fruit and vegetable donations to local charities. They're sourcing it out of a warehouse and shipping containers.

Portable and sustainable agriculture would be of interest to post-apocalyptic survivors and interstellar colonists.

In this week's installment of "Classic PC Behaviour In the News," a British man attempts to jetski from Australia to Papua New Guinea, armed with a crossbow (link to a Guardian.co.uk article).

Definitely a plan my players could have cooked up.

(In passing: I love the way the police officer in this story speaks. “He gave it a red-hot go,” said Jock O’Keeffe of Queensland police. “It’s a bit unusual to try and get from Punsand Bay all the way to PNG. He stuck out like the proverbial.")

Real-world justification for High Pain Threshold. Or you could just call it a mutant power.

Pointy hats! What's a wizard without his pointy hat? A nerd with delusions of grandeur and the ability to turn you into a pumpkin, that's what. Does your wizard want a pointy hat? Of course he does!

But does he want a 74.5cm tall, 490g, solid gold and silver conical hat covered with intricate calendrical calculations from around the year 1000 BCE?

That's what I thought. It's at the Neues Museum in Berlin, so good luck.

Maybe this is a bit self focused due to my issues, but her massive reduction in anxiety and over all fear response is what's truly amazing.

Romania has stones that grow, secrete cement, take in water, contain growth layers reminiscent of tree rings, bud new accretations, and are even reported by some to move. Geologists naturally cover up with a prosaic, if unusual, explanation. But we know what's really going on.

If you want to tour the area, be sure to pack around a hundred pounds of thermoconcrete. You know, the kind we use to build emergency shelters out of? It's mostly silicon.
