Speedster/sniper: enhanced time sense, super running etc.
Tank/heavy gunner: like an earth elemental, can burrow, has high strength and health, injury tolerance etc.
Medic/explosives expert: healing power, stretching, regrowth, injury tolerance.

All characters get some DR and regular regeneration for free (not included in point total).
Do you have an origin concept yet?

Yes, the PCs were normal humans that were modified by alien technology to become superhuman. Psi powers are available, as are many super abilities but no magic and no really powerful abilities. The aliens remain distant, their motives inscrutable. For the PCs the primary goal is survival, they need to survive long enough to understand what is happening and why.

Useless? Hardly. Telepathy gives your team a form of communication the machines can't tap into. Also very useful against hostile human groups like agents of certain Zoneminds or rogue raiders.

Not many, maybe a few hundred spread across the whole world.

My brother just create a crazy awesome telepath in my Aeon campaign that has a ton of powers and spent less than 300 points. And as others have noted, being able to read minds is just the tip of the iceberg for telepaths.

Danger Sense with Luck should be almost mandatory for parties in a setting like this.

Agreed! My players are new to GURPS and they have already seen how great those two advantages are.
