Default Ability to: be able to record things seen and hear to datadisc?

Converting some psionic powers from another system.

One power is the ability to record stuff seen and heard unto a data-disc, if your holding the datadisc at the same time... so basically you can act like a video-camera without the videocamera... and limited to your own senses.

How much would such an ability cost in CP?

On one hand it's like a 1 pt feature as anyone could do the same with a mobile phone. On the other hand, being able to record without an obvious recording instrument can be a really big advantage!

I'd just stat it as a 1-point accessory most likely.

If psionics are known, then people will watch out for it. It's not no-signature because the PC still has to hold the disk.

If psionics are unknown, then an unusual background already absorbs the cost of nobody having ever heard of the power.

Good points. Those were my gut instincts as well. Just needed someone else to say the same :)

Can you retrieve the stored experiences from the disc? If so, then I'd say you have Photographic Memory with some sort of limitation. Probably not a gadget limitation, unless you can only do it with one specific disc, but a requirement for some external condition.
